On “X” Call, 4 and 5 sprint to elbows.
Play is continuous and uses the same set up on either wing. 1 passes to 3, who dribbles down to the strong side corner. 4 (or weakside post man) will dive to the strong side block. 5 sits in the middle of the zone.
3 looks for 4 on the strong side block. 5 is sitting in the middle of the zone as a second option. If neither is open, 3 passes to 1, as 5 steps out to screen x2 for 1 to penetrate middle.
After 1 comes off of 5’s screen, he penetrated the middle and kicks to 2.
After the pass from 1, 2 dribbles down to strong side corner. 1 replaces 2 on strong side wing. 4 cuts from weak side block to strong side elbow. 5 cuts behind the zone to strong side block.
2 can take the jumper or: hits 5 in short corner, hits 4 at elbow, or kicks back to 1, and 4 sets the screen again.
