1961 – Coach Morgan Wootten and Coach Joe Gallagher started the Metropolitan Area Basketball School.
1973 – A week for girls was added to the Metropolitan Area Basketball School.
1984 – Coach Wootten, along with Coach Jim Phelan and Coach Bill Sheehan, started three weeks (two weeks for boys and one week for girls) of overnight camp at Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
1983 – The day camp moved to Takoma Academy in Takoma Park, Maryland.
1987 – The overnight camp was expanded to six weeks (four weeks for boys and two weeks for girls).
1998 – The overnight camp moved to Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland under the direction of Coach Morgan Wootten and Coach Joe Wootten.
2000 – The day camp moved to O’Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia.
2006 – The overnight camp at Frostburg expanded to five weeks (four weeks for boys and one week for girls).
2007– The Father/Son Camp was added.
2014– The Academic All-American Camp was added.
2021- The Top 150 was added.
